Our Team

Dr. Amber Paulsen founded Prestwick Family Eyecare in 2026 with a simple mission: to bring her clinical expertise and a personalized touch to her local community. After completing her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University, Dr. Paulsen earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston, where she graduated summa cum laude.

Dr. Paulsen has spent more than 15 years in primary eyecare, honing her expertise in diagnosing and managing complex eye conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy.

She is particularly passionate about Myopia Management. Having struggled with rapidly worsening vision as a child, Dr. Paulsen knows firsthand the frustration of "stronger glasses every year." She uses the latest evidence-based methods to slow down progression of nearsightedness in her younger patients, protecting their vision for the future.

Whether you need precision-fit contact lenses, a fresh style in frames, or a consultation for refractive surgery, Dr. Paulsen takes the time to understand your lifestyle. She believes eye care isn't one-size-fits-all—it’s about finding the perfect combination of clarity and comfort for your unique needs.
